Origami (折り紙), from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper" (kami changes to gami due to rendaku) is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin. The goal is to transform a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques.

  • Ting Chiao will teach you basic origami techniques. You will create at least two objects during your time at Pop Pub, sipping your soda, or glass of wine, beer or mimosa. The drink is included in the price of admission. You will leave having made a paper swan, a boat, a star who knows what surprise animal or object Ting will create with you!
